Step 1: Steam

Close your bathroom door, pop in the bath plug and turn your shower onto its highest temperature (be careful not to burn yourself!) and leave the water running for about 15 minutes for the steam to build and the bathtub to fill. Then, turn off the shower and take some deep breaths to calm yourself and clear your sinuses with the hot air. Next, adjust the temperature in your bath so it’s not scolding hot, add a few drops of a soothing essential oil like lavender and hop in. Now just sit, soak and relax your mind.

Step 2: Hair treatment

After you’ve had a nice long bath, wash your hair with shampoo and hop out. Next, towel-dry your hair and apply a thick layer of conditioner (like Puretopia Shine & Gloss Conditioner). Tie your hair up out of your way and leave the conditioner in for at least an hour. Hello, glossy, shiny hair upon rinsing!

Step 3: Moisturise

With your skin still a little wet from your bath, lather on a generous layer of body moisturiser (hint: make sure your lotion is in the bathroom during your steam so the cream heats up for a smooth and warm application). Step 4: Face mask

Whether you have a favourite face mask, sheet mask or prefer to whip up a DIY recipe, now’s the time to apply your face mask – after your hot bath your pores are open and ready to receive your mask’s nutrients. Leave the mask on for at least 10 minutes before rinsing off with a warm wash cloth.

Step 5: Hands & feet

Once your mask is off, it’s time for the final pamper step – to give your dry hands and feet some TLC. Lather them with body lotion and pop on some socks and gloves. Leave the product to soak in while you read a book, listen to some music and simply unwind.
