Whether you're nearing the end of your tan’s life, or you did a little funky application (splotchy tan hands included!), here are some simple ways to remove fake tan FAST.

First step, soften your skin. Because the tan sticks to dead skin cells, softening your skin with a warm shower or bath will help prepare skin for a proper exfoliation. You can add some oils to the bath (baby oil or even olive oil from the kitchen cupboard) to help exfoliate dead skin (which is what the tan is sitting on).

Next, exfoliate using a light scrub and warm water, but avoid over scrubbing to irritate skin or make it dry and oily. Towel off and use the Bondi Sands Exfoliating Mit in circular motions to further remove skin cells (and said streaky tan!).

Waxing or shaving can also help get rid of those dodgy patches. Try Andrea Assorted Wax Strips for Face and Body.

You can also find some DIY tricks sitting in your kitchen cupboard. Lemon juice works well for tan hands or the whole body. Just squeeze a lemon and use a bath cloth or hand towel to rub it over skin.

Another kitchen cupboard trick is baking soda, which can be added to a bath or mixed with some lemon juice or just warm water to make a paste. Lather this over skin, and leave for five minutes before showering and wiping off with a cloth.
